One in 217 million

Our sponsor, Degree Days Direct Ltd, has made it to number-one position in Google searches for 'degree days': not bad, considering that the firm is jostling for position among 217 million pages (most of the other pages relate to the days on which academic establishments have their degree ceremonies).

The high ranking is probably due to (a) the number of other sites that have links to the firm's home page and (b) the number of occasions when Google users choose the company's entry in preference to others.
